The Automotive Service and Tire Sales Manager serves as the central point-of-contact for all automotive service and repair matters. The Service Manager's responsibility is to listen and thoroughly understand customer problems, arrange for an appropriate service/repair solution, and set/manage delivery expectations on the part of the customer and technician(s) alike. Acting as a trusted adviser, the Customer Service Manager ensures that the proposed service/repair solution appropriately matches the service/repair requirement. The Service Manager's job is to earn repeat business and grow new business by delivering exceptional quality service and repair work that matches an honest and accurate estimate.

We are interested in recruiting an individual who has exceptional people skills (friendly, sincere, engaging) and is a problem-solver by nature. Although strong technical knowledge is desired, we are open to applicants who have an aptitude for automotive service and repair - we will provide comprehensive training to the right individual. The ideal Customer Service candidate has a high school diploma/GED, an affinity for automotive maintenance/repair, an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record, and a strong desire to learn and grow with our business.

COMPENSATION

  • $18.00-$25.00

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers with a smile and a helpful attitude
  • Carefully listen to the customer with regard to request or issue
  • Promptly arrange for vehicle service or repair action
  • Develop a repair estimate based upon the technician's diagnosis
  • Monitor service/repair action and inform customer of progress
  • Generate invoices and handle payment transactions (cash, point-of-sale, or electronic payment media)
  • Perform customer follow-up courtesy call to ensure delivery met expectations
  • Perform marketing activities such as networking, calling upon businesses for fleet servicing, and promotions to existing and new clientele
  • Assist shop management in maintaining appropriate inventory levels, including the purchase of parts and materials

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED (advanced education desired)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional listener and communicator (written and verbal)
  • Point-of-sale and electronic payment media skills desired
  • Sales experience desired
  • Highly collaborative nature
  • Current and unrestricted driver's license
  • Able to operate a standard transmission
  • Impressive work ethic
  • Strong math skills
  • Automotive technical knowledge a plus
