What will I be doing?

ü Responsible for designing, managing, and supporting state of the art video conferencing systems across the agency

ü Supervise and work with the network helpdesk staff who support agency AV equipment as needed for meetings and events

ü Work closely with facility manager, audio visual consultant, and sub-contractors on designing, recommending, and implementing new technology to modernize H-GAC’s meeting spaces

ü Take the lead in facilitating deployment of the new audio-visual solutions to H-GAC’s meeting spaces agency wide

ü Manage, coordinate and support the installation and maintenance of all audio video components in the agency including scheduling and coordinate equipment installations

ü Perform quality checks on all audio visual work and maintain documentation such as schematic drawings, configurations, and codings

ü Maintain agency’s audio/video and communication equipment and technology

ü Maintain software/hardware Codec, digital signage displays, MS Teams room and other virtual meeting room technology

ü Stay up to date on state of the art facilities design, technology options, and implement logistics in order to increase end-user satisfaction

ü Oversee operation and quality of meeting rooms audio and video technology to ensure meeting rooms audio and video equipment are in functional order

ü Manage staff to support agency meeting activities to provide stability and availability to the hosting team during the entire meeting to guarantee a successful event

ü Develop and update documentation of systems and developing instructions and training materials on operation of equipment and best practices for conducting virtual or hybrid meetings

ü Generate reports and metrics for call and meeting quality, meeting attendance, and investigate reason for poor or disruptive performance


Key Qualifications

ü Demonstrate strong ability to understand the design concept of basic audio, video, and virtual room communication devices

ü Demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills

ü Be able to perform under tense and time critical situations and be able to respond and resolve issues real-time

ü Demonstrate technical skills and understanding of handling virtual/hybrid meetings using Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams

ü Display proficiency in using cameras, computers, and microphones when hosting virtual meetings

ü Problem-solving skills regarding audio/video issues before or during virtual meetings

ü Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio


Do you have…

ü Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study

ü 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
