Atlassian End User Experience Developer

Overview

Responsibilities

This position will include working on a team incorporating functionality and reporting into the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Insight, etc.). This will involve consultation with end-users, development team, and implementation of a technical design that meets business needs and execution. This position will work on a tight-knit team and be involved in the end-to-end design process from research and conceptualization to implementation and iteration and is expected to be an expert in all functional and technical aspects of the platform and integration points.

Work with program SME to understand user requirements to design, develop, and implement an Atlassian solutions.

Perform technical migrations, merges, and implementations of products for end-users and customers.

Proactively troubleshoot and overcome technical problems. Work with data to create advanced reporting solutions. Work to automate Jira-related processes.

Lead and/or participate in requirements elicitation meetings, review boards, and functional demonstrations.

Work with end-users and customers to enable custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports.

Help guide the configuration and documentation of Jira and Confluence instances. Create and update documentation related to the project.

Collaborating with cross functional teams to review and analyze system requirements and user stories

Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline with demonstrated relevant experience

Experience with scripting language(s) such as JavaScript, Groovy, PowerShell

Self-motivated, collaborative, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience working with DoD environments

Ability to configure, enhance, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain Atlassian software; familiarity with developing automated processes and custom triggers

Ability to understand and have experience with constructing Atlassian query languages (JQL, IQL); familiarity with Atlassian products (e.g. JIRA Service Management, JIRA Core) and marketplace offerings

Ability to documenting requirements, user stories, and meeting minutes; ability to explain and demonstrate product functionality and usage to end-users and customers

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
