Work Location Address: 1401 Landmark Drive, Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, 53527
Core Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm.

• May include on-call hours outside of core hours.

The Associate Merchandiser position is an entry level commodity trading position challenged to develop and utilize trade skills in origination, sales, and execution across various business units. This individual will learn market analytics, build customer rapport, buy and sell commodities, logistics execution, contract management. This position will cultivate internal and external relationships, be proficient in ALCIVIAs various technology platforms and make an immediate impact in the Grain business unit success.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Proactively strategize and execute procurement efforts to create a competitive advantage within the marketplace
• Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers expectations and company objectives
• Analyze market trends to anticipate product needs and plan accordingly
• Collaborate with internal teams, buyers, suppliers, and distributors to negotiate prices, quantities, and coordinate deliveries
• Utilize Salesforce to document activities and opportunities
• Knowledge of systems to assist in ALCIVIAs continues technology advancement
• Work with grain merchandiser to support direct ship merchandising, hedging, origination, and location bids
• Interact across business units to grain broad understanding of ALCIVIA procurement initiatives
• Adapt needs to special projects
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelors degree is required
