Associate Environmental Scientist - Wilmington, NC

Role:

In this role, you will be working at various remediation sites or water/wastewater treatment sites, performing technical support for the equipment. You will be working both in an office as well as out in the field, working hands-on with the equipment. You will be performing operations, monitoring and maintenance of environmental remediation systems, as well performing heavy labor tasks related to on-site industrial waste, hazardous waste, field environmental surveys or wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.


Responsibilities:

  • C ollects samples and maintains documentation in record logs

  • Reviews and analyzes data collected in environmental sampling programs

  • Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at on-site locations under general supervision. Assignments are undertaken independently on a regular basis

  • May be required to operate a company vehicle

  • May assist in permit application development

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science curriculum related to the assigned discipline

  • Entry level candidates considered

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions

  • Ability to walk on uneven ground, bend, kneel and climb

  • Familiarity with software packages typically associated with the discipline is preferred.

Salary Range:

$20.38 - $35.67
