What You'll Do

Summary:
As the Associate Director of Finance and Data, you'll work with a diverse, passionate, and supportive team in all budget directives and established policies. Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs. You'll have a great deal of contract compliance, reporting and grant writing. Advise Grants Manager and Chief Program Officer on contractual requirements for all levers of government funding.

You’ll actively engage in agency-wide Race and Social Justice Initiative, and strives for racially equitable outcomes; takes responsibility for creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming community by make room for people of color, trans and gender-non-conforming folks, and other population who routinely encounter systemic oppressions.

This position has a social justice component that requires critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principles of antiracism and grounding those principles in everyday work are required job skills and core values. Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) and Regional Director of Finance and Data (RDFD), reviews and helps prepare confidential budgets for all programs for timely submission to YWCA CFO
  • Examines budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations
  • In conjunction with the RDFD, reviews division invoice dashboards and works with Regional Director Finance Data and CPO to create plans of action, as necessary
  • Assists RDFD and CPO with development, renewals, and monitoring of various funding sources for KCSIS programs
  • Monitor King County Specialized and Integrated Services grants and contracts to ensure program compliance in areas such as funding requirements, expense levels, and cost effectiveness of services provided
  • Coordinates and prepares reports with RDFD for YWCA contracts and sub-contracts
  • Coordinate workload and completion of KCSIS Housing data entry for tracking
  • Assists RDFD and CPO to compile data, prepares and edits and submits contractor invoices (or federal drawdowns) and other required reports
  • Assists RDFD and CPO to monitor KCSIS program budgets to assure compliance and status; in accordance with YWCA guidelines
  • Provide assistance and support during program and YWCA annual audits
  • Coordinate and ensure quality client data from KCSIS programs and complete input and reporting for Client Track and HMIS/Clarity data systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • At least three to five years of related experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability, including the ability to quickly and effectively analyze, compare and interpret data
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated expertise with Excel & PDF formatting
  • Core Competencies: initiative, sound judgment, relationship building, organizational understanding, communication: oral and written communication, planning, professionalism, organization and leading others.

Hours, Rate, and Benefits

  • Salary $74,880 - $79,000, DOE
  • Hours: 40
  • Excellent benefits package including medical insurance, retirement plan, plus generous vacation, holiday, and sick leave plans
  • At the time of hire, employees may enroll voluntarily in the Fidelity 403b Plan
  • After two years of employment, employees are eligible to participate in the YWCA Retirement Fund

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously exchanges information through listening and talking with clients, agency staff, employers, representatives of community organizations, and other individuals in the community
  • Frequently stands, walks, sits, and climbs in performing duties in the workspace and in the community
  • Frequently reaches and grasps in using telephones, computers, fax machines, and other office equipment and supplies
  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 lbs. of equipment and storage boxes; occasionally up to 50lbs
  • Occasionally kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls in obtaining files from drawers
  • Occasionally climbs stairs in YWCA locations
