The Electronic Retention Governance team, within Enterprise Data Governance, is responsible for establishing data retention requirements for Truist. The Associate Data Governance Consultant is responsible for supporting Data Governance framework, specifically data retention, across the enterprise, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations. The position drives design and execution of data retention and disposition efforts with various business and technology stakeholders. The position acts as the primary administrator for providing sharepoint solutions for the department and act as subject matter expert for Enterprise Retention Inventory system within Workfront.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Act as support and subject matter expert for Enterprise Retention Inventory System within Workfront and system components; provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to system, network, and component software.

2. Primary administrator for Sharepoint supporting Enterprise Data governance.

3. Analyzes possible solutions, for business requirements, using direction, judgment and precedents and makes decisions within guidelines or standard practices to solve routine problems of moderate complexity and escalates issues in a timely manner.

4. Support for technical consultation and inquiries from the other Data governance teams.

5. Support for new application and evaluation as needed.

6. Can act as the technical lead on internal team projects or participate on project teams that impact Retention applications.

7. Support monthly dashboard reporting on enterprise data retention.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. In- depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices.
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
4. Ability to plan and manage projects.
5. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
6. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
7. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Excellent working knowledge on Microsoft tools – Excel, Word, Powerpoint.

3. In- depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices, particularly in sharepoint and preferably in workfront.
3. Ability to plan and manage projects.
4. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices with direction.
5. Ability to interpret and convey complex technical problems.

6. Bachelor's degree and six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
7. Banking or financial services experience.

8. Excellent understanding of sharepoint and strong experience with system configuration and report development.

9. Experience working in Workfront solutions

10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

11. Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.

12. The ability to follow a project through to completion, and/or to work as part of a larger team to complete the components of a complex project.

13. Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Db2, ETL tools
