Job description
The San Diego branch office of Tiffany & Bosco, P.A. seeks an experienced, hardworking Associate Attorney to join our team on a full-time basis. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience working in a law firm with a background in financial/default servicing, including a working knowledge of state and federal civil litigation and bankruptcy law and procedure. Ideal candidates should have experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, highly-regulated environment.
Job Duties:
- Represent financial institutions and other clients throughout the state of California in state, federal, and appellate courts with a focus on secured creditors' rights
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and settlement conferences
- Title curative litigation, distressed property litigation, foreclosure litigation, unlawful detainer actions, and other real property litigation
- Be a self-motivated professional capable of prioritizing multiple tasks under tight deadlines when necessary
- Ability to manage and meet court and client deadlines
- Provide every client with respect and excellent service
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- J.D., California Bar Membership
- Admitted to practice in all courts in California
- 3-5 years of legal experience
- Background in financial/default servicing
- Experience representing financial institutions in state and federal civil litigation
- Experience representing creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases
- Excellent grammar, research, and writing skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Exceptional computer processing skills, including high-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Team player
- Positive attitude
