Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager
Job Summary: Perform, monitor, and assign work duties to warehouse, packaging, and delivery personnel, prioritized and established by the Area Manager, to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Drive a culture of safety, be self-motivated, with good organizational and team-building skills, and achieve high level results by embracing continuous improvement methodologies.

Essential Job Functions *
1. Communicates with Area Manager to determine priorities, observes work-in-progress, and advises Area Manager of issues.
2. Serves as a resource to team members – answers questions and resolves operating problems.
3. Demonstrates “role model” work habits and fosters teamwork within the department.
4. Enhances team morale – discusses issues and suggestions with Area Manager and follows up with team members.
5. Conducts on-the-job training and provides constructive feedback to employees.
6. Continually seeks opportunities to improve department operations.
7. Encourages team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Achieves and maintains certifications required to operate equipment necessary within assigned department. Performs safety checks prior to use. Reports machine problems to Area Manager. Charges industrial truck batteries as
needed.
9. Is willing to be cross trained as a lead in other departments.

Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, two years of related experience is highly preferred,
