DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the Mental Health Services Division, which includes Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) and all associated satellite sites, the DFTA funded sites and the adolescent clinic.
  • Acts as a thought leader and collaborative partner with the VP of Adult Programs in the evolution of Commonpoint Queens’ clinical training and programming.
  • Will work closely with the VP of Adult Programs to identify and apply for funding to sustain or expand the Mental Health Services portfolio.
  • Provides direct supervision and mentorship to leaders within the Mental Health Services Division, including two Clinic Directors – MHOTRS and adolescent clinic.
  • Promotes a culture of learning within the Mental Health Services Division and leads organization-wide conversations regarding mental health treatment.
  • Primarily responsible for ensuring that high quality patient care is provided throughout the MH Services Division and that there is economical and efficient performance.
  • Will serve as lead liaison with all city and state agencies, including DOHMH, DFTA and OMH.
  • Works with clinic leadership and with leadership throughout Commonpoint Queens to identify key trends regarding the efficacy of clinical interventions throughout the organization and lead the effort to change and improve these, as indicated.
  • Works to keep Commonpoint Queens’ clinical services relevant and of the highest quality possible by consistently reviewing recent literature and research of the recognized best practices, and ensuring that these practices are culturally adapted to meet the needs of all clients.
  • Leads quality assurance and quality improvement processes throughout Mental Health Services.
  • Works with the VP of Adult Programs to identify and initiate process improvements, collaborations and implementation of new services as those needs are identified.
  • Develops/oversees development of and monitors training for compliance and clinically integrated best practices.
  • Analyzes trends and implements behavioral health interventions throughout Commonpoint Queens’ mental health services based on available data.
  • Takes initiative on individualized projects set forth by the VP of Adult Programs.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Graduate degree and independent clinical license required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing Article 31 outpatient clinics (MHOTRS).
  • Experience delivering and supervising clinical work with individuals through the lifespan.
  • Proven record of developing and implementing person centered, trauma informed service delivery.
  • Deep understanding of and commitment to anti-racist work and the implementation of practices conducive to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading and delegating a team with accountability and successful achievement of superior patient care, operations, and financial results


SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to travel to multiple service sites within the agency and externally.

JOB DETAILS

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours; some evening hours required; special events may require weekend hours
  • Annual salary range: $125,000 – $150,000
