This position will be reported to the location of Correction Enterprises NCCIW Sewing Facility within the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh, NC.

The primary purpose of the CE Manager I is to assist the Plant Manager with providing management to the sewing plant operation and its staff.

• This position will also be responsible for the direct supervision of three Correction Enterprise Supervisor II's.
• This includes organizing and directing the plant operation, ensuring high quality goods are being produced, developing work schedules for offenders and employees to meet the production demand, assigning personnel and offenders to various work sections, ensure that adequate training and supervision is provided to offenders, prioritize work and planning for the effective use of equipment, personnel, and space.
• He/she is also responsible for the management of this operation when the Manager is not on duty.

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase/decrease MAY result.

To qualify for this position, applicants must document in the Description of Work section of their application that they possess ALL of the following were applicable:

• Demonstrate experience with hands on sewing equipment & tools, ex. machines, press, snips, etc.
• Demonstrate experience in a production manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate training experience with skilled & unskilled workers.
• Demonstrate experience with safety programs in a production environment.
• Demonstrate experience with inventory & stock replenishment documentation.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum of 2 (two) years of related industry/service experience;
-OR-
an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,456.00 - $69,048.00 per year
