ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

POSITION DEFINITION: We are recruiting for a FULL TIME experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager Under the direction of the Restaurant manager, assists with monitoring employees’ productivity and developing initiatives toward enhanced job performance, training new employees, monthly department meetings, inventory and ordering of supplies as needed. Incumbent will work to create an environment where employees are involved and enthusiastic, with open communication and respect for themselves, members, guests, and the Association.

SOME DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensures dining room is clean and ready to open on time each shift.
• Schedules weekly deep cleaning of the restaurant.
• Assists with ordering service supplies.
• Assists with daily, weekly, and monthly inventories to include inventory of restaurant equipment and ensures proper storage.
• Maintains proper records of the weekly tasks checklist which includes ensuring cleanliness, acceptable condition of equipment, containers, and shelves in storage rooms.
• Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory of all liquor, beer, and wine and smallware deliveries.
• Ensures that the host stand is clean and stocked.
• Checks air conditioning and/or heat levels and performs quality environment checks to help ensure the comfort of guests and employees.
• Ensures that lighting and music are properly set.
• Monitors and keeps accurate timekeeping records on the time clock.
• Adheres to Meal and Rest periods policy.
• Ensures that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are followed.
• Enforces all Sun City and Boulevards policies.

Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses – Bachelor of Science in Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred. Minimum of three years of successful equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree. Must possess technical proficiencies in food service including food service handler certification and knowledge of health code standards; working knowledge of industry standards; and strong organizational skills.
