Position Summary:

• Quality Stone Veneer is looking to add talent to its manufacturing operations in Refton Pa. The Assistant Production Manager will be an integral part of our operations, working closely with the plant manager and senior production manager. You will be responsible for helping assure our daily production and quality control goals are met, providing oversight, leadership and support to the manufacturing process. Our leaders are tasked with building and maintaining a high-performance culture focused on the company’s strengths of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Your day will be varied and fulfilling, you will have the responsibility and accountability to make sure our products are produced and shipped at the highest quality standards and within the goals set by the senior production manager.
• This is an on the floor position working closely with our talented production teams.

Reports to:

• Senior Production Manager

Essential Job Responsibilities and Functions:

This would be progressive with training involved

• Supports our safety culture to protect our employees and minimize risk for our organization
• Ensure product quality meets company standards and pull team together to resolve issues
• Leads effective team to satisfy production demands and meet Supply Required by Dates on sales orders and transfer orders
• Staffing:
• Provides leadership, training, and development to supervisors and leads
• Work alongside employees to gain perspective, trust and experience
• Hires, trains, provides performance feedback, and disciplinary action
• Assists with production schedule planning
• Analyze demands to make adjustments to staffing levels and work schedules. Review manpower and connect capacity with the pour schedule.
• Work with plant managers to ensure teams are on schedule and meeting production demands. Be accountable for their department and raise urgency with a situation when appropriate.
• Ensure production volume can be met without interruption while minimizing raw material inventory
• Analyzes mold capacities and makes assists on replacement and order of new molds
• Be the point of contact for manufacturing needs and available any hours of plant operation
• Works with other department managers to maintain efficient operations
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• This is a safety-sensitive position and a drug screen will be required prior to employment.
• Ability to develop leaders and desires to see the success in others
• Willing to work a varied schedule, including some early morning and/or evening hours and Saturdays

· Solid written and oral communication skills

· Bilingual: Spanish Preferred

Education and Work Experience:

• Four-year technical degree or a combination of education and experience isa plus.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP system is a plus
• Willingness to learn and the desire to grow thru hard work and dedication.

Physical Capabilities:

• Hear well and speak clearly
• Alternate between sitting/standing for several hours at a time
• Twist torso in chair
• Bend at waist, kneel, and stoop
• Reach above head
• Move materials up to 40 lbs. such as files and books
• Climb stairs
• Ability to spend long hours on feet, in a manufacturing environment
