Hanover College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Computer Science at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin August 2023. We are particularly looking for candidates with systems expertise and a passion for teaching at the undergraduate level. Successful candidates will be able to teach existing systems courses (networks, operating systems) as well as new courses in systems areas such as security, parallel and distributed computing, or cloud computing. The 3-3-1 annual teaching schedule includes a range of core and elective CS courses.

You will be joining a tight-knit group of dedicated educators who collaborate closely, enjoy experimenting with active-learning techniques and support innovative approaches to teaching.

Minimum qualifications include: Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field by time of appointment; evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness at the undergraduate level; ability to advise and mentor students; active participation in scholarly interests; commitment to working with diverse students and community populations; and ability to embrace the liberal arts mission of the College.

Preferred qualification: Expertise in systems areas of the Computer Science curriculum.
