Job Summary

This role contributes to the success of The Human Bean by assisting the General Manager in executing store operations. This job assists and supervises a team of employees to create and maintain The Human Bean experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.
• Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing issues or changes in morale, and performance and communicating them to the General Manager
• Develops positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns
• Engages in conversation with customers to understand customer needs and the needs of the community in which the store is located
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Support the General Manager with staffing, training and inventory

Requirements

• Work experience in a Café or in food service
• Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
• Good math skills
• Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)
• Superior customer service attitude
• High School Diploma
  • Additional certification (e.g., in Business Administration or Hospitality) is a plus
• Experience in directing the work of others
