Sunnyside in Elkhorn is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant, while delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities:

Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Support the Director in overseeing all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service and efficient workflow

Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and uphold the Sunnyside brand standards

Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and excellent communication among staff members

Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve any issues to the satisfaction of the guest

Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant

Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and conducting regular inventory audits

Collaborate with the Director of food & beverage on menu development, promotions, and special events to drive sales and enhance guest experience

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and oversee regular maintenance of equipment and facilities

Contribute to financial goals by monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving measures

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant industry

Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively motivate and manage a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and guests

Knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

Proficiency in computer systems and restaurant management software

Flexibility to work Mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
