Assistant Hospitality Manager, Tasting House, MacRostie Winery

Working as a key member of the Estate House team supporting the Hospitality and Events Manager (HEM), this role is responsible for directly supporting the tasting room (TR) management and event planning, serving as lead tasting room (TR) MOD 2-3 days/week. This position takes ownership of a variety of tasting room and special event responsibilities. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the Hospitality and Events Manager, and hours of operation for this position are obligated to working consistent weekends, occasional nights, and holidays with days off during the week.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional hospitality leadership with direct reports and customer relationship management, event planning and management, and must demonstrate proficient technical skills in MS Office, Excel, and winery POS ( such as Wine Direct), reservation. and payroll systems.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Event contract management
• Responsible for all TR team scheduling
• Mastery of all TR procedures and protocols
• Mastery of all order management and CRM systems
• Assists in all aspects of TR management including Lead MOD 2-3 days/week
• Co-manage payroll for accuracy and timely submission
• Key liaison with new TR hires during the on-boarding process ensuring all necessary paperwork, required wine and hospitality education, systems training and mentoring has been achieved
• Participate in 4-6 external consumer tasting events throughout Sonoma and the Bay Area annually
• Help plan and manage all general public onsite events
• Help plan and manage all wine club member onsite events
• Supports continuous safety and alcohol compliance for service in the state of California

We are looking for qualified candidates who holds a minimum of 3 years hospitality or wine industry experience, working as a leader with direct report experience, with knowledge of world class hospitality standards and carries a strong passion for wine the industry.

Pay: $64,480.00 - $66,412.00 per year
