Property Assistant General Manager – Kemah, Texas

  • Salary: $75,000 - $100,000

Operational Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Amusements Department Head for the Rides, Games, Admissions, Parking, Security, and Loss Prevention departments.
  • Serve as a project manager for new property initiatives and upgrades related to Amusements or as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Manage quality and execution of daily operation and guest service expectations.
  • Provide Guests with a safe, fun experience.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and audit hourly and full-time Amusements staff.
  • Meet all quality goals for the Amusements departments in the areas of safety, guest service, efficiency, and appearance.
  • Develop and revise existing standard operating procedures, emergency action plans, and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure that all labor laws and company policies are followed at all times.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Act as property Manager on Duty.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat.
Administrative Duties:
  • Financial management including budget tracking, cost control, labor forecasting, payroll, invoice processing, and generating financial comparative reports.
  • Assist the General Manager in managing the Profit and Loss of the Kemah Boardwalk.
  • Amusements Manager and MOD schedules to be completed monthly.
  • Updating inspection checklists and other critical documents as needed
  • Organizing and retaining required documentation including ride inspections, throughputs, incidents and training
  • Responsible for conducting training and seminars related to safety and guest service

Requirements:
  • Previous experience managing multiple departments in an amusement property
  • Minimum of two years related experience.
  • Understanding of ASTM F770

Education:
  • 4-year College Degree or requisite experience
