Summary:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) partners with the General Manager and other members of management to ensure the team is consistently delivering guest service, food / beverage. Coaches and trains team members and Assistant Managers to be the best in their current roles and to be prepared to advance in their career as opportunities arise. Regularly monitors FOH costs and works to ensure they remain within established guidelines while simultaneously maintaining quality. Focuses on continuing his or her development so he or she is ready to take on GM opportunities as they arise. Fills in for the General Manager in his or her absence.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of salaried management experience in a full-service, high volume, casual restaurant environment preferred.
  • Demonstrates the technical and interpersonal skills needed in all positions within FOH operations to adequately lead, train and manage both hourly and management staff.
  • Possesses the entrepreneurial attitude and approach to thinking required to lead an emerging concept/brand (i.e., sees big picture, embraces critical thinking, quest for continuous improvement, innovative)
  • Empowered to make decisions, even when there isn’t a clear precedent or direction and assumes responsibility for decisions.
  • Commitment to fostering an environment of superior guest service and quality, in which the team regularly strives to provide “WOW” experiences for guests.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all fellow staff members and Managers. Has not established any personal relationships with any colleagues that would jeopardize fulfillment of CMX Fraternization Policy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate directions and expectations to staff and management and has the sincere desire to build, coach and develop successful teams. Interpersonal skills include but are not limited to genuine enthusiasm, positive energy, approachability and a natural tendency to serve others.
  • Demonstrates success in building relationships with staff, peers, and superiors that motivate and inspire.
  • Understanding of P&L’s, with the ability to proactively recognize and resolve cost control issues.
  • Basic technical aptitude and computer literacy to include the ability to operate point-of-sale software, scheduling software, projection systems, MS Word and Excel.
  • Must possess a strong desire and commitment for future General Manager positions and have the ability to relocate as needed for upward mobility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
