Job Description:
  • As part of the Front Office leadership team, will at times oversee overnight hourly agent, and/or will be personally responsible to reconcile the business of the day and ensure a smooth efficient operation of the front desk during the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift. Acts as the overall Manager on Duty for the resort during the overnight hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Be very familiar with the hotel computer system for training maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any complaints.
  • Adhere to all Systems & Controls of the Front Office and appropriate areas of responsibilities.
  • Assure knowledge and training of Marketing Programs of company and hotel.
  • Performs the required system saves during the night audit shift to ensure a current back-up of the hotel
files is available.
  • Posts and audits banquet checks in order of the banquet summary sheet.
  • Reconciles all Food and Beverage outlet postings.
  • Verifies front desk cashier work is balanced.
  • Performs an accurate bucket check of all in-house registration cards.
  • Ensures all guest accounts are accurately posted with room and tax.
  • Performs nightly IBM maintained by monitoring the file sizes and performing weekly and monthly reorgs.
  • Ensures the completion of all H.I.S. night audit functions.
  • Distributes all close day reports and morning reports to the appropriate departments.
  • Transmits accurate data to Corporate.
  • Prepares and distributes the Daily Report (Daily Business Summary DBS).
  • Perform duties as Assistant Front Office Manager as necessary
  • Perform duties as Manager on Duty

Qualifications:
  • Previous front office experience required, with preference being in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift.
  • Customer service oriented, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, and excellent organizational skills needed.
  • Four year college degree, preferably in the hospitality industry, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems and related computer programs
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
