Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Nursing in assessing resident care needs and implementing appropriate action, implement nursing policies and procedures, supervise staff for the nursing department, and supervise the quality of nursing care provided to residents.
Common Responsibilities:
- Consistently work cooperatively with administration, residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate total resident needs, nursing care and progress by making daily rounds
- Provide assistance, direction and teaching of nursing care to all nursing personnel
- Observe facility policy and procedures
- Participate in the hiring of nursing personnel
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing nursing service
- Establish open lines of communication between all nursing personnel and consistently take follow-up action as necessary
- Complete reports and assignments accurately and adhere to established time schedules
- Participate in the facility Quality Assurance Program, MDS Compliance, and Quality Indicator Performance.
- Assist in the direction, evaluation, and supervision of all resident care and initiate corrective action
- Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely, and professional manner
Requirements
Ideal Experiences Include:
- Active Kentucky RN License
- 3 years of Skilled Nursing/Rehab Leadership position (Prefer ADON/DON experience)
- Demonstrate understanding and management of nursing regulations, MDS 3.0, and Kentucky Case-mix systems
- Demonstrate understanding and management of CMS Quality Measures
- Experience with Case Management
- Must be proficient at understanding and ability to learn new technologies including but not limited to: EHR, CRM, CASPER, and QTSO
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
