Job Title: Apparel Product Developer Assistant
Department: Selling and Administration
Reports To:Apparel Product Manager
Organization: Berne Apparel is a manufacturer and distributor of work and outdoor apparel. The company offers a full line of industrial wear, insulated work clothing such as bib overalls, jackets, coats, coveralls, work jeans, shirts, sweatshirts and accessories for men, women and youth. Distribution of products is primarily concentrated within the United States to farm and home retailers, sporting goods retailers, uniform resellers and promotional products distributors.
Job Description: The Apparel Product Developer Assistant will be responsible for assisting the product development team with a range of tasks, including, but not limited to, providing administrative support, package and sample tracking, distributing packages, organizing and coordinating sales samples, and more.
Primary Responsibilities
- Verify receipt of inbound packages
- Process and distribute packages to appropriate departments
- Build, maintain, and monitor the tracking file of sales samples
- Organize and maintain the product development area
- Assist with line reviews and style-outs
- Update BOM/Style information in spec program
- Attend product development meetings
- Perform other tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- 3+ years working in Apparel Development
- Working knowledge of garment manufacturing
- Knowledge of specs, apparel fittings, textiles, and construction
- Ability to work with multiple personalities in a diverse, fast paced environment to create a team atmosphere
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
