Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking an Assembler I. This role is responsible for performing a variety of light mechanical and electrical equipment, to exact specifications, working to close tolerances, using fixtures and simple hand and power tools. Also performs assigned remanufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning and inspection of small dispensing units and major subassemblies. This is a great opportunity to work 4 days a week! (some OT may be required at times.)

What You Will Do:
Assemble light mechanical / hydraulic / pneumatic components to exact specifications
Perform assigned remanufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, polishing, inspection and re-assembly of small dispensing units, and major subassemblies
Perform simple hydraulic and electrical checks to insure proper function of assembled equipment
Work from process and specifications sheets, English instructions
Accurately process necessary paperwork related to labor reporting and record keeping
Continually identify opportunities for system and process loss elimination to improve safety, efficiency, reduce cost and/or increase service to our customers
Loss analysis and improvement project participation using TPM tools, such as, root cause analysis (RCA), 5 Why’s, OPL’s, etc.
Active participation in regular Kaizen events using TPM tools and methodology. Ensure sustainability of improvements.
Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods and working conditions so that downtime and losses are minimized or eliminated using teamwork and TPM/continuous improvement principles.
Proactive communication of maintenance needs, quality issues, or other situations that impact safety, quality, or productivity to Team Lead, Coach or the appropriate functional/department leader
Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and losses inherent to our process
Assist in the training of teammates both Ecolab and contingent.
Work well as part of a team
Adhere to all plant procedures

Position Details:
Location: Roscoe, IL
Work week and shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm
Compensation package offered: $17.50 / hr

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must have basic math ability
Experience using hand and power tools
Immigrations Sponsorship not available for this opportunity

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand upwards of 10 hours
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
Basic computer skills
Electrical / mechanical / plumbing experience
Blueprint reading
Ability to interpret color coding for basic wiring
Ability to distinguish between various metals for sorting
