DESCRIPTION:
An Assembler is responsible for putting ball screws together and ensuring they meet customer requirements.
To accomplish this you will need to:
- Work safely.
- Understand requirements for each part.
- Assemble and verify running conditions of new and repaired ball screws.
- Troubleshoot minor issues during the assembly process.
- Training is provided.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble ball screws to company and customer specifications.
- Maintain company provided tools and ensure proper working order.
- Read and understand directions.
- Ability to safely load and unload parts into fixtures with assistance.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and work orders. Training provided.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
High School Diploma / GED or higher level education preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Use sound judgment in all situations.
Ability to prioritize jobs, while maintaining high standards, and attention to detail.
Basic math skills required.
Use measuring devices like tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. Training provided.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Stand and walk.
Use hands and fingers to handle and feel and be able to reach with hands and arms in any direction for an entire shift.
See fine detail with the aid of a magnifying glass.
Concentrate on fine detail work for periods of 2+ hours.
Sit for 2/3 of a shift or more; sit stand alternate
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds with lifting devices and assistance.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
