What Will I Be Doing?

The Art Director is a pivotal role within Gallagher’s Art Department, our in-house creative agency. The Art Director is responsible for the driving the creative vision of a project or marketing campaign. The Art Director reports to the Creative Director and works closely with a dedicated team, including copywriters, graphic designers and account managers to bring creative solutions to our internal client team.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensures work is smart, impactful and brand-centered, transforming complex concepts into solutions that communicate with real people.
  • Displays a demeanor and attitude that encourages a culture of creativity.
  • Directs and motivates a team of graphic designers, copywriters, video editors and creative freelancers. Delegates duties among team members, and approves all final materials produced by the team. Effectively communicates with team members to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Articulates creative vision to the team and oversees production of marketing and promotional pieces, including print, video, digital and social media executions; campaign concepts and collateral; and internal and external corporate materials.
  • Engages with internal clients regularly maintaining a strong trusted relationship and acts as the creative lead for their assigned client team.
  • Facilitates the creative development and conceptual framework for all projects. Collaborates with members of marketing teams, designers and copywriters to develop world-class creative for marketing campaigns and tactical executions.
  • Creates impactful presentations and delivers them to internal clients, while ensuring successful representation of the Gallagher brand guidelines.
  • Is current on best practices, trends, and industry techniques.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years related experience required.
  • Knowledge of current graphic design equipment, tools, and techniques required.

  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure
