Area Director
Overview:

Sobremesa Hospitality Management is a multi-brand hospitality company focused on developing exciting opportunities through a combination of franchises, and original concepts. The company currently has over 15 units across Central and South Texas. It owns 12 plus Tropical Smoothie Cafes, and has licenses to open an additional 18 more locations. Additionally, the company has developed two original brands in the state. Dos Olivos Market is a unique concept that consists of a wine room, restaurant, and gourmet food store. Papas A La Carte is a food truck concept that focuses on Real. Good. Food. in a creative approach to Fried Chicken & French Fries. The group is committed to excellence, and is looking for the right leader to help continue to develop its group of brands.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing and managing multi-unit day-to-day operations to assure optimal performance and Franchise Brand Standards
- Maximizes sales & profit goals versus budget and prior year, including the execution of sales plans, and ongoing review of assigned store budgets. Monitors food costs, labor costs and direct operating costs. Utilizes profit/loss statements to track results and implement corrective action as necessary for enhanced results
- Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity goals
- Teach management teams how to analyze, set goals, lead, communicate, set standards, hold staff accountable, and measure results against established goals, and actions plans
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems
- Ensures all food safety procedures are executed according to company policies and health/sanitation regulations; takes corrective actions, as appropriate.
- Manage to execute the highest standards of OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy
- Organize new store openings
- Performs other job related duties as may be assigned or required
Requirements:
- 2 years minimum of Director or Senior Leadership experience (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (Preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
- Experience working in a restaurant (Preferred)
- Experience with budget and business plan development
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
