D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Architecture CAD Drafter-WA in the Operations Department. The right candidate will create and maintain construction documents and sales collaterals for the division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Draft and maintain plan drawing sets for permitting/construction
  • Assist in correspondence with Architects, Engineers and Construction
  • Assist in the coordination of plan revisions and or/corrections with other company departments to include Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, Operations and Construction
  • Assist Architecture and Design with any special projects as needed, such as 3D Modeling or creating color diagrams for Paint Schemes
  • Assist Architecture and Design with special projects such as temporary sales office conversions or drafting construction documents for community monuments
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Qualifications


Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 plus bonus potential


Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Six months to one year of related experience
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Possess a strong proficiency in AutoCAD
  • A high interest in residential design and construction
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Architecture preferred
  • Revit, Sketch-up and Photoshop proficiency preferred
