Home for Life Animal Sanctuary is hiring!

* Full and part time positions, and flexible hours for students.

You will work at our Star Prairie, WI facility, located about 30 minutes NE of Stillwater and directly north, also about 30 minutes from Hudson WI. It would NOT be realistic to work with us if you live in the Twin Cities unless you are in the East Metro or Western WI due to the commute.

Home for Life Animal Sanctuary has opening for animal care specialist for our day shift, 7 am- 4 pm, providing care for special needs cats and dogs who reside at care for life animal sanctuary.

The ideal applicant is an intelligent and athletic team player who loves animals, is detailed oriented and has an outstanding work ethic. We look for individuals who take pride in their work and have the maturity and integrity to able to work independently

-.The job calls for a lot of daily physical activity, and an atheltic individual who can work outside in hot or cold weather, on their feet for extended periods, and who is able to climb stairs, run and walk without difficulty, and lift up to 50-60 lbs.

-A great description of the job: a combination of farm laborer and registered nurse.

- Applicants must have a high school diploma at a minimum, college degree in process or completed strongly preferred. Experience in fields related to the care of animals preferred but not required.

-Love of animals, honesty, ability to accept work direction, initiative to see what needs to be done to help our animals and have the work ethic to follow thru, native intelligence, kindness and consideration to our animals and fellow employees and supervisors, punctuality, reliability and dedication to the welfare and well being of our animals are the qualities we look for and require.

-Full and part time positions available and flexibility for students is provided. Every other weekend required. Home for Life requires drug and alcohol testing of all new hires and requires random drug testing of all employees. Home for Life is a No Smoking facility, and smoking is prohibited during working hours and on the sanctuary grounds.

-Medical and dental insurance offered to all Home for Life FT employees upon permanent hire.

-Annual reviews and raises for employees who exhibit outstanding work ethic, excellent care of our animals and ability to be a team player and accept work direction. If you demonstrate initiative and an ability to see what needs to be done to help our animals, we will happily consider a raise sooner than annually! .
