CBS News Bay Area (KPIX-TV, San Francisco) is seeking a Sports Anchor/ Reporter. Candidate should be a serious sports journalist and creative storyteller; highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic about covering a wide range of sports. Must be passionate about telling compelling community sports stories. The ideal candidate gets beyond the scores, highlights, practice video, and podium sound. We seek someone who connects with the community through sports reporting and anchoring. Someone who will anchor sportscasts, field anchor significant events and sports shows, and regularly turn stories.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
Large market TV broadcasting experience.
Strong writing, shooting, editing skills a must.
Minimum 5-years of experience sports anchoring/reporting experience with extensive live field work is required.
SAG/AFTRA union membership required.

Preferred Qualifications:
TV experience and sports reporting experience.
Minimum five years of experience in broadcasting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $113,800.00 - 165,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
