This position is located at our Fort Worth, TX corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility for handling billing/payment oversight for shortline and haulage railroads where traffic is interchanged.
  • Business partnering with the Shortline Development team on contract amendments and rate adjustments.
  • Actively communicate with shortline and haulage carriers on any issues that might arise related to invoices, disputes, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and provide metrics addressing timeliness, quality, and accuracy of team, including development and documentation for best practices.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Technology Services and Financial Solutions Management teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver enhancements to streamline processes, improve data visibility, and ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process changes to improve the customer experience, improve department efficiency, accuracy and controls and assist with long-term system planning to enable growth.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to effectively lead teams, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and make decisions independently
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities with the ability to adapt to deliver results and drive change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (at all levels) with an ability to build strong, positive relationships with business partners.
  • Produce clear, concise, accurate written communication, clearly conveying thoughts and ideas to peers, management and business partners
  • Personal computer skills are required including a proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of BNSF operations and revenue pipeline
  • Knowledge of SAP, TSS, RAS, and data warehouse queries using SQL
  • Have obtained CPA designation
