This position is for a Welder/Technician within the Bus Services Division of RMS Energy. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast paced, growing company working on electrical equipment in power plants and other large industrial facilities, including Isolated Phase Bus Duct, Non-Seg Bus Duct, and Generator Circuit Breakers. This position will be responsible for all mechanical aspects of projects including demo of old equipment, layout, rigging/setting of new equipment, and welding of aluminum conductors. This is a travel position for work locations located primarily within the United States with unique work locations, including hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plants, and other facilities. Previous experience within the electrical or industrial construction industry is strongly preferred.

Some of the required job functions are:
Interpret blueprints and drawings, and take or read measurements according to plan layout and procedures
Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements of the job
Set up components for welding according to detailed specifications
Operate angle grinders and other power tools to cut to prepare parts for installation and welding
Rig, lift, set, align, and fit equipment in position according to drawings and specifications
Weld Aluminum components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead, 6G test required)
Maintain equipment in a working condition and inspect daily for damage or safety concerns
Inspect, inventory, and organize parts and components for installation
Perform maintenance on and Inspection of existing, aging equipment for defects, damage, and deterioration
Fill out daily timesheets and job reports as needed
Operate company vehicles
Experience in substation construction or electrical bus installation preferred

Experience:
Welding Aluminum
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper use protective equipment, working at heights, etc.
Experience operating equipment, including forklift, manlift, etc.

Other Requirements:
Up to 50-75% travel required
Travel, accommodation, and Per Diem provided by company
Work from any location
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; community college or technical school a plus
