Elevo Program Facilitator

Location: Orange, CA

Elevo provides students with the building blocks for a happier life. We work hand-in-hand with the Orange Unified School District to nurture communication and cooperation skills within the next generation, using a LEGO STEM based program as a method to experience computer science in a fun and exciting way. the Our curriculum is designed to get young students interested and engaged with the numerous computer science pathways they can explore in Middle School or High School.

THE ROLE

Seeking coaches/peer mentors to work 3 days a week/up to 15 hours a week at local schools in the Orange Unified School District. The schedule is part time, running from about 2pm to 5pm - Monday, Friday, and 12:30pm to 5pm Wednesday. This is an in-person position.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Below is a non-exhaustive list of the physical requirements for this role.

• Must have the ability to constantly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another
• Must have the ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, and running
• Must have the ability to move safely on irregular and or uneven terrain

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Engage students in SEL & LEGO curriculum
• Certify mandatory instructional minutes required for the program
• Demonstrate, engage, and participate in games with students
• Lead groups of students in activities while implementing strong behavior management skills on the field
• Act as a positive and inspiring role model
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service for all students and school staff
• Follow COVID 19 protocols outlined by the school

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years of working experience coaching, or child development strongly preferred
• Authorized to work in the US
• 48 College credits or availability to take District Assessment Required
