About This Role
This is a full-time position located in Richmond, Virginia and open to hybrid or remote candidates. This role requires frequent travel, up to 35% overnight. Candidates must have current work authorization in the United States in order to be considered.

The Senior Advisor, Global Corporate Partnerships helps ChildFund establish long-term corporate partnerships that generate revenue and other resources to support our mission. The Senior Advisor establishes market-level, resource-generating corporate partnerships and works closely with country office colleagues to maximize partnerships with local and multinational companies. The person in this role contributes to annual fundraising targets.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Travel in person to attend conferences, events, meetings, and networking opportunities to build relationships with potential corporate partners; identify and attend virtual events.
  • Represent ChildFund and speak persuasively about our mission, strategy, and programs at meetings and other external engagements.
  • Establish internal partnerships with country and regional leadership who engage with the private sector.
  • With country and regional leadership, conduct analysis and strategy development of market-based private sector engagement. Deliver co-created plans for engagement to ChildFund country offices and regional offices.
  • Support country and regional offices in establishing specific account engagement plans, prep for prospect/partner meetings and, as appropriate, join colleagues in meetings.
  • Establish and maintain a system of tracking global corporate engagements and monitor progress toward global fundraising goals.
  • Oversee completion of due diligence on corporate prospects; work with country and regional offices to align the cultivation of multinationals to global strategy.
  • Complete any requirements for internal or external partnerships, including the development and submission of proposals and reports.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with technical and Monitoring and Evaluation advisors, finance staff, executive leadership and other departments.
  • Assist Senior Director of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships with special projects as needed.
  • Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
Required Competencies
  • Outstanding writing skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced skills with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage competing deadlines, and thrive as part of a fast-paced, virtual team.

Required Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, including experience in corporate fundraising and/or new business development.
  • Demonstrated experience generating new corporate partner leads and cultivating them successfully to awards and renewals.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Work or life experience in a developing country context is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in a second language is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other grants management software is preferred.
Other Criteria
  • Ability to travel up to 35% overnight.
  • For a candidate outside of Richmond, Virginia, the ability to work remotely.
