Family Health Care is seeking an advanced practice provider at our clinic in Cadillac, Michigan. Cadillac is a beautiful community blessed with many natural resources enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. The City of Cadillac is one city out of four in the nation with a lake (Lake Cadillac) located completely within its corporate boundaries. It is also home to the mysterious Clam Lake Canal, which links Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell year-round, but remains unfrozen during the winter. The Cadillac community is a recreation wonderland, offering a myriad of activities to appease nearly every interest, including fishing, boating, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, and golfing, to name a few. Family Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in West Central Michigan. Founded in 1967 as one of the first community health centers in the nation, we provide medical, dental, laboratory, radiology, behavioral health care, vision, and retail pharmacy services at six main offices located in Baldwin, Big Rapids, Cadillac, Grant, McBain and White Cloud.

Professional Duties


  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses seen in a primary care population
  • Provide appropriate screenings for pediatric and adult populations and intervene when needed
  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives
  • May participate in community education functions and assist community health groups in a medical advisory capacity.
  • Assist with cross-coverage of patient care for colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of patient encounters and manage consults and diagnostic test results.
  • Observe policies and procedures of the clinic
  • Continuous updating of knowledge of medical practices, procedures, drugs, and medicines.
  • Ability to work with a team, enjoys working with children and adolescent population
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions.
  • Aware of the scope of care limitations and comfortable seeking out assistance from other colleagues

Experience Requirements:


  • Two years of experience as an NP or PA in primary care preferred.
  • Must be willing to treat newborns and pediatric patients.

Certificate/License Requirements:


  • Graduation from an accredited school for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • State of Michigan Medical License
  • State of Michigan Controlled Substance License
  • Federal DEA License
  • Board Certified
