The Department of Anesthesiology is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Administrative Fellow to join our team at our academic practice in Gainesville, Florida. Duties to Include:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and engaging, with opportunities to lead and manage a team of interns, oversee the design and execution of projects, and report regularly to key stakeholders and the management team. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading meetings, following up on action items, and updating materials that correspond with progress towards collaborative goals and initiatives.

In this role, you will be tasked with evaluating and recommending modifications to current methods to improve patient management and business operations across all stakeholders, including surgical departments, the pre-surgical clinic, OR operations, and faculty group practice clinics. You will delegate appropriate tasks and deliverables to department staff and interns. It will be expected that you provide meaningful feedback and professional development opportunities to help M500 Consulting interns grow and succeed.

You will be responsible for designing reports within BusinessObjects and Qgenda Insights to analyze historical financial and operational data and identify process improvement initiatives. You will also develop analytical tools and dashboards to facilitate leadership decision-making, identify improvement opportunities through the use of workflow diagrams, gather data, perform analyses, and monitor metrics. In addition, you will design strategic initiatives to improve revenue cycle metrics, reporting capabilities, and overall performance through dashboards and reports with key performance indicators, metrics, data points, and formulas to support management objectives. You will be instrumental in measuring, analyzing, and presenting on provider productivity reports as well as developing the clinical revenue budget, which is in excess of $40MM.

Further responsibilities include being an active member of the department’s management and clinical coverage teams. You can also expect to participate in other teams external to the department in order to experience, learn, and develop executive-level decision making, meeting management skills, and the capability to effectively deliver presentations. You will also be vital to collaborations between our department and the Dean’s Office consulting team. Upon completion of this fellowship, you will have a keen understanding on professional, technical, and behavioral skills needed to be an effective leader.



Expected Salary:

$59,300 - $67,000



Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field
Ability to develop and follow protocols and procedures properly & efficiently
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Proficient use of computer technology, spreadsheets and data management
Analytical problem-solving abilities
Ability to develop technical and professional capabilities for themselves and others
