Job Title: Administrative Assistant III-High School Program - Part-Time Position


Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt


Pay Group: P20
Salary Plan


Primary Purpose:
Provide administrative support to the High School Program, organize and maintain files and records and assist with the routine work and daily operations.


Qualifications


Education/Certification/Experience:


High school diploma from an accredited high school or hold GED.


Five years of full-time, wage-earning general clerical, secretarial, or administrative support experience.


PEIMS experience preferred.


This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.


Special Knowledge/Skills:


Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Skill to interpret and apply rules, policies, and procedures.


Knowledge of agency and departmental policies.


Ability to organize and maintain correspondence and files.


Skill in the use of computers and peripheral equipment.


Major Responsibilities and Duties:


1. Coordinate paperwork, class schedules, and monthly reports.


2. Gather and record information on a daily basis for attendance.


3. Keep all information in computer current through the continuous up dating on computer.


4. Enter all new students in system and withdraw students.


5. Take count of enrollment daily-determine "no shows".


6. Perform general administrative support functions.


7. Maintain a full accounting record of all attendance records for state audit records for state aid.


8. Retain and store all documents required for audit by the district and/or State.


9. Maintain close communication with Campus Attendance Liaison to keep Central Administration informed of membership and attendance figures.


10. Enter all new students' demographic information in computer.


11. Meet deadlines as established by Coordinator of PEIMS to comply with TEA deadlines.


12. Obtain and maintain all information as required by TEA and District Policy.


13. Perform other duties as assigned.

12. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.


13. Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at locations of work assignment.


14. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.


15. Execute duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.

Environmental Demands:


Work inside and outside, noise, radiant/electrical energy, work alone, work with others, around machines with moving parts and objects, possible exposure to microwaves in use, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
