Job description
We have openings for a Remote Actuary role with a large Managed Care Organization. Must be available to come into the office for quarterly meetings (Charlotte, NC).
The Actuary will gather and analyze data about claims, events, and other items as requested by the organization. They will use computer software, databases, models, spreadsheets, and other technology to compile the data and assess the financial risks and other potential outcomes including those related to population health efforts. The Actuary will also serve as a subject matter expert to consultants and explain data and outcomes prepared by the consultants.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 4+ years of experience in actuarial services or substantially related finance work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business or related field from an accredited college/university
- Ability to diagnose, research, analyze and resolve issues
- Knowledgeable in Healthcare Claims data processing data
- Knowledge of business and financial concepts
- Knowledge of healthcare and/or managed care industry
- Skilled in Excel
- Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM
SALARY:
- $75K to $129K
