This position involves driving our bus for outing. Must have Level One Fingerprint Clearance and be vaccinated.

Do you want to play all day, every day? Are you a customer service-oriented individual who believes that work should be fun? A passionate, proactive professional is needed to support our Life Enhancement programming by engaging our residents in Highgate’s signature programs designed to enhance and enrich lives, regardless of age or ailment. Our Life Enhancement Specialist assists residents in living each day with a sense of purpose. By getting to know each individual, you will help them discover what that purpose is, or support them in pursuing the hobbies or interests they enjoy. You will assist the Life Enhancement Coordinator and be involved with implementing programs and events, including outings in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A fun-seeking, energetic, dynamic individual
  • Enjoys working with all age groups – preschool to seniors
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Team-player with a positive attitude
  • At least one year of experience in customer service
  • Strong emotional intelligence
  • Flexible and comfortable with everchanging daily activities
  • Excellent organization, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer, tablet, and smart phone skills
  • Experience using social media platform, streaming video, etc.
BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care
  • Experience working around dementia
  • Experience teaching/training others/facilitating groups
  • Experience in planning and/or events
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to see, hear, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move continuously during work hours
  • Meet all criteria as required by state and local licensing agencies
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or can obtain – required upon hire)
  • Current TB test (or can obtain – required upon hire)
  • Health screening and fingerprinting (California only)
  • Negative criminal record/background statement
  • Unexpired driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles
