  • JOB TITLE: Lifestyle Lead
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • JOB SUMMARY: The Lifestyle Lead is responsible for planning, implementing, and leading daily activity programming that fulfills the wellness dimensions of sensory, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and physical enrichment. Position provides on-the-job training and participates in updating care plans as associated with activities.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions: Orchestrate and lead therapeutic activities for resident participation for individual as well as group structures. Motivate residents to participate in daily planned activities. Provide high level of resident engagement. Establish one-on-one relationships with residents. Maintain daily one-on-one visitation schedule. Conduct resident activity interest surveys. Strengthen resident activity with the development and coordination of programs. Provide hands-on/on-the-job training to newly hired activities assistants. Provide skill-set retraining as assigned. Document resident attendance to activities. Electronically update care plan to include assessment, activity participation and progress notes. Oversee the movement of residents to and from recreational areas to participate in scheduled programs include activities held outside of Community. Plan, create and publish monthly programming and transportation calendar. Communicate on-going performance feedback of activities assistants. Maintain inventory par levels, track inventory and supplies.

Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
Obtain knowledge and demonstrate the principles of Living Lifespace , person directed care and successful aging philosophies and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, team work and quality. Team member will support, actively participate and act in accordance with the principles of the Living Lifespace service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the language and service pillars of Living Lifespace.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent

Associates degree preferred.
Two to three years applicable experience
Certifications required by state regulations. Industry certifications include AAC, ADC, ADPC, and ACC.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • REQUIRED: Possess a genuine appreciation of geriatric population.

Ability to work with demanding residents in a calm and professional manner.
Knowledgeable of computer functions and the ability to learn and use a variety of computerized activity programs. Ability to plan, organize, develop, and efficiently implement events independently and in group involvement.
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members.
Advanced computer skills.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. The position often involves medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or a up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequent repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require medium physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature. May be exposed to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, cleaning chemicals, dust, odors and a variety of different pets.
  • INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to deal with and find resolution to problems and maintain a productive working relationship with team members, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others.
