OUR UNIVERSITY

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating all financial functions of student account management. Requires frequent communications with persons both internal and external to the University. Routinely interacts with University department members and administrators requiring effective interpersonal communication skills and abilities. Needs to talk about interactions with students and student families.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
(provide list of items which are essential to effective outcomes in this role):

  • Analyze and maintain student accounts pertaining to all related financial functions assuring accuracy and consistency with University policies and procedures. Exercise consistent tracking and reconciling methods to identify and resolve potential discrepancies and inaccuracies promptly.
  • Receives and records payments, and monitors deferral program as they apply to each individual student account. Monitor student activity assuring the proper distribution of the disbursements and payments.
  • Monitors past due student accounts taking the necessary steps for highest return on collection. Research the validity of the past due charges to eliminate the possibility of oversight or error in student charges. Collect on valid past due accounts.
  • Provide general support within the university operations. Support may include but is not limited to: maintaining records, files, and/or databases according to established standards; internal reporting of data and information necessary to units operations; regulatory and monthly reporting; month end related activities and reports; and operating system maintenance applicable to the unit.
  • Interface with others via telephone, computer, and in person. Maintain effective working relationships and understand the job responsibilities and obligations of those with whom you work.
  • Effective and responsible interface to all persons external to the university who are seeking information and assistance. Represent the University in a positive and responsive manner.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION: (education based on essential job duties and requirements consistent with business necessity): Bachelors Degree in business or a related field.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: (
