La Placa Development is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist/Controller

La Placa Development is a family-owned and operated homebuilder located in Newport Beach, California. We are a full-service general contracting and construction management firm specializing in the new construction of luxury custom homes. BOOKKEEPER/ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST/CONTROLLER OBJECTIVE

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT

As a Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist/Controller for La Placa Development, the individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the subcontractor receivable and payment processes. The position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities. Job Responsibilities:

· Ensure the vendor/supplier list is up to date with current mailing, remit address, contact phone number, email, and contact person, including W-9.

· Process AP invoices ensuring the correct posting account and job codes are used.

· Work with Purchasing Department to ensure any discrepancies with vendor/ supplier invoices are resolved in a timely matter.

· Be the main contact for vendors/suppliers regarding status of payment

· Upload all necessary documentation to QuickBooks.

· Maintain proper documentation for research and reference.

· Reconcile vendor/supplier accounts monthly.

· Knowledge of job costing and schedule of values.

· Prepare and process AR invoices.

· Ability to process invoice and payments through customer portal.

· Manage release submittals.

· Proactively track and analyze customer collections and accounts receivable status on a daily basis.

· Work with Project Manager to assure subcontracts are received and close out jobs are reconciled

· Assist with investment and brokerage division accounting duties as needed.

Preferred Experience:

Proven work experience in Construction Job Costing Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist.

· Advance knowledge of QuickBooks Online/QuickBooks Desktop for Mac

· Advance knowledge of Excel

· Knowledge of Google Sheets and Google Calendar.

· Attention to detail and organization.

· Sense of urgency.

· Ability to prioritize, work efficiently and meet deadlines.

· Ability to adapt with willingness to learn new procedures and skills.

· Flexible and able to multitask

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently with a self-starter attitude in a fast-paced office environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
