Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead an AP Team of up to 2 accounts payable specialists
  • Data entry for accounts payable invoices that will include PO based invoices and Non-PO invoices
  • Reconcile monthly payables statements
  • Code invoices according to company policy that will require the understanding of chart of accounts and general ledger
  • Research and resolve billing disputes
  • Complete month end accounts payables reconciliations according to company policy and procedures
  • Conduct research to assist with internal and external audits as requested
  • Communicate & work closely with vendors & other team members
  • Maintain Vendor Relations and the AP Weekly Payment Proposal- Daily Payables Outstanding (DPO’s) are to be managed closely
  • Manage self-billing registers and recurring payments- ensure self-billing registers are being reviewed weekly by the sites and are accurate
  • Understanding of Purchase Price Varient to ensure accuracy
  • Manage the monthly closing of Accounts Payables- Trade Payables, Received Not Invoiced, and AP Accruals such as utilities etc.
  • Ensure and review the accuracy of coding to the General Ledger by the accounts payable specialists
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements/Education/Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience performing Accounts Payable related functions
  • At least 2 years of Supervisory experience
  • Excellent analytical, technical, interpersonal and project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong skills and knowledge of Accounts Payable best practices
  • Possess a visionary leadership, able to lead a team and work as a team member
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, vendors and fellow members of the executive team
  • Excellent reasoning ability, inferences and problem solving
  • Ability to handle large volume and a fast paced environment
