The Accounts Payable Specialist is a direct-hire position working for HGA at our corporate office in Ruston, LA.
The Accounts Payable Specialist position is responsible for the correct coding of invoices and verifying information on invoices against purchase orders while processing. This position will be required to handle the weekly expense reports and also perform any special projects as assigned.

Accounts Payable Duties and Responsibilities
- Code invoices.
- Verify invoice information matches purchase order information for processing.
- Process weekly expense reports.
- Perform special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Filing, scanning, and occasional support for front reception area.
Accounts Payable Skills & Abilities
- Ability to multitask and react promptly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
- Detail-oriented.
- Team player who is able to elicit cooperation from team members and other departments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service skills an asset.
- Capability and willingness to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable required.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and principles required.
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook needed.
- Candidates must be located within daily commuting distance of Ruston, LA.
