Jaci Carroll Staffing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a family-owned business in the Greater Waterbury area. This is a full time position with hours being Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with an hour for lunch; some overtime may be required during the busy months of the year (May-October) on Saturday mornings. This is a contract-to-hire position, with a full benefit package available upon date of permanent hire. Pay will start at $22/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices
• Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries
• Process check requests on a regular basis
• Perform monthly reconciliations
• Receive merchandise on PO’s
• File Sales tax with individual states
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable

The Accounts Payable Specialist must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 3-5 years of Accounts Payable required; previous accounts payable experience using manufacturing software/in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Will be working with S2K ERP software and an AS400 system. Must be able to multitask, prioritize and problem solve; as this office is small, may be asked to perform other duties, working with other coworkers in a team environment.
