Garston Sign Supplies Inc., a wholesale distributor in East Hartford, CT, has a full-time opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist. We offer medical, dental, and vacation / personal days as well as a 401k.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Receives and processes vendor invoices and internal check requests.
• Reviews invoices, verifying that terms and costs agree to internal PO or other expense approval documents.
• Reconcile minor cost adjustments between invoice and PO and forward major cost discrepancies to Purchasing for resolution.
• Codes overhead invoices with general ledger account numbers; determines dates for invoices to be timely paid.
• Receives and resolves questions from vendors or other departments in regard to payment status of invoices.
• Research vendor credits, attach proper paperwork, review with Accounting Manager weekly; reconcile vendor credit to debit memo, and process credit.
• Gathers expense report documentation, matching receipts to employee expense reports. Summarizes approved expense report data.
• Receive & enter all drop ship orders on a timely basis and close Drop Ship POs as appropriate.
• Backup for the Accounts Receivable position. Includes entering payments daily and taking credit card payments.

Job Requirements:

· Previous Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience

· Experience in Infor SX.e ERP Software is a plus.
