Job description
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our growing company in the retail, apparel industry. This role will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions of our business, as well as other accounting-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and experience working with financial systems.

Description

As the Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist, you will report to the CFO. This position is full-time, on-site at Little Bipsy’s Everett, WA location with some flexibility to remote work as well.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Prepare invoices and process payments for customers and vendors.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
  • Monitor and collect outstanding receivables and process timely payments to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Generate financial reports and provide analysis on accounts payable and receivable balances.
  • Manage the company's general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage and maintain fixed asset records.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Assist with audits and other accounting-related projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, with additional experience in other accounting-related tasks.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.


Compensation
The annual salary in the Everett, WA area for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
