Accounting Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor develops and implements systems for gathering, analyzing, verifying, and reporting certain types of financial information responsible for completing and administering accounting tasks. They are in charge of preparing financial statements and creating financial disclosures for future reference. One of the Accounting Supervisor main responsibilities includes communicating necessary accounting information with colleagues, outside partners, and upper management.
Duties:
· Manage check requests and deposit information
· Oversee the posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and general ledger adjustments
· Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and give assistance to auditors.
· Discuss payment terms and account contracts
· Maintain the trial balance as well as help settle delinquent accounts.
· Works closely with Controller & CFO for complex revenue issues
· Manage the daily activities of the accounting department.
· Enforcing company policies, rules, and procedures
· Review and evaluate credit lines
· Suggest changes to operating procedures and accounting practices.
· Uses cost allocation and expenditure procedures to calculate future revenue
Abilities and Skills:
· Ability to work with discipline and accuracy
· Ability to manage workload in a face-paced environment
· Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with financial officials and colleagues
· Work well with other administrators to reach all organizational objectives, as well as work efficiently by themselves with minimal supervision.
· Should be proficient with basic office software, including any necessary accounting and spreadsheet software
Education/Experience
· Bachelor’s or master's degree in a finance-related degree preferred
· 3-5 years of Accounting Administrative experience
· Additional accounting and finance management experience - as well as industry and leadership certifications - may be preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
