The Accounting Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable and payroll. This position requires knowledge and utilization of a fully integrated ERP system. This individual's responsibilities are centered on ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of accounting transactions.

This position is located in our Tacoma, WA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform hands on support of the accounts receivable, payable, and payroll activities.
• Provide day-to-day financial/accounting support for the company.
• Prepare weekly payroll and related taxes including state and local tax returns.
• Ensure a timely and accurate month end closing process as directed by the Assistant Controller.
• Handle taxation reporting as required by regulatory agencies as required.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time, on short notice from the CFO or Assistant Controller.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate Degree required.
• Previous hands-on accounting experience required
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly desired.
• Experience with a fully integrated ERP accounting system
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel, required.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and a thorough understanding of all accounting principles and applications required.
• Must possess excellent analytical skills.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret complex numerical data, as well as legal documents, federal and state regulations, and industry documents.
• Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and partnering with diverse team members and outside sources required.
• Proven success at demonstrating accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to prioritize and stay focused when faced with multiple, diverse responsibilities.
• Must possess a natural ability to provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers as required.
• Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism, discretion and ethical standards.
