We are looking for an experienced accounting clerk or bookkeeper to work in the Boone, NC area.

Preferred Education/Experience Criteria:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or comparable level of training/experience
• 3 years of recent experience
• Understanding of general accounting methodologies
• Excellent understanding of Excel and similar programs

Key Job Details Below:

Financial Program Monitoring & Management: Manage a variety of transactions that may require considerable financial program knowledge; monitor and manage financial accounts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations and/or program laws and regulations. Supervise various financial functions of considerable complexity. Manage reporting of complex financial areas or program(s), including preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.

Knowledge-Technical: Apply thorough knowledge of a government accounting methods, procedures and accounting practices. May have basic knowledge of the principles of a specialized accounting field or program. Apply the knowledge of a broad range of technology, financial systems and packages. Develop formula for complex spreadsheets; set up automated procedures and resolve operational issues of software/hardware.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.44 - $23.19 per hour
