Virtual Incentives is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our team! This role provides overall support for our Accounting department. This hybrid role will involve in-person training in our Cold Spring NY offices and will require ongoing partial in-office days per week

Accounting Associate

As our Accounting Associate, you’ll join our Accounting Team to manage and maintain Virtual Incentive’s financial accounts. Your responsibilities will include providing help with financial reporting, tax advice, audits, bookkeeping, and data analysis.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Daily cash receipts.
  • ACH, wire, bill payment preparation.
  • Process credit cards.
  • Reconciliations of client disputes.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Record U.S. and foreign bank account activity.
  • Daily cash board updates.
  • Accounts payable.
  • Accounts receivable (platform access fees/setup fees).
  • Calculations of financial partnerships (rebates/unclaimed/unspent).
  • Audit assistance.
  • Monthly Brand Partner reconciliations.
  • Vibe administration (admin creations, contact updates).
  • Manage Salesforce cases.
  • Maintain QuickBooks.
  • Assist with monthly book close.
  • 1099 preparation.
  • Return of Funds calculations.
  • Organize and maintain payable/receivable files.
  • Support finance team in other areas of corporate accounting and special projects as required

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of invoicing and accounts receivable functions.
  • Action-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, specifically proficiency with V Lookups and Pivot Tables)
  • Proficient with Quickbooks
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented record keeping skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and clear and articulate speech.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, including the ability to expertly convey information in non-technical terms with professionalism and confidence.
  • Self-Starter and capacity for adaptation to a rapidly changing environment - ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge needed (Pivot tables, Vlookups).
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in billing or accounting; Internships will be considered work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
